Make sure you get the Criterion edition. There's commentary by Gilliam that talks about how the Pythons openly made fun of all religions but Islam (because, he says, Muslims take their thing seriously and the Pythons were afraid of Muslim violence).

I think it was what she does intend. She is a fervent admirer of the Palestinians. I would like to know why. She has actually met some I understand since she paid a visit to Israel.

However she didn't bother to learn the truth of the cause of the bombings while she was in Israel. She took for granted, or was ingenuous enough to pretend, that she thought that the conditions created the bombing. Whereas the truth is, that the bombings created the restrictions that the Israelis place on the Palestinians. The bombings are the direct cause of the checkpoints, the wall, the policing of the arab villages and the unemployment of the Palestinians
