Identifying bad laws that invite judicial activism and hopefully recommend legislation that will prevent it in the future; Congratulations, Congressman King! And, thank you for posting this information.
During this year's election, we need to elect more Steve King's to Congress. The pro-life members are growing; let's keep them in place and grow their ranks.

Wow that's terrific!
I really hope they can accomplish something.
I was pleased to hear Bush mention judicial activism in the SOTU. Finally people have not only noticed, but perhaps something will be done about it.

Abortion foes march in D.C. to repeal law
WASHINGTON - Thousands of abortion protesters, some carrying signs that said "American Holocaust" and "I regret my abortion," marched from the White House to the Supreme Court yesterday to mark the 31st anniversary of the decision that established a woman's right to the procedure.
The day of demonstrations against the court's 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade began with a Mass and rally attended by Catholic bishops and a crowd of about 15,000, mostly teenagers.
President Bush called in a brief statement, telling anti-abortion marchers they were gathered for "a noble cause."
"The right to life does not come from government, it comes from the creator of life," the president said from Roswell, N.M., where he was wrapping up a two-day trip.
A smaller group of abortion-rights activists said it largely focused on lobbying on Capitol Hill for legislation to reverse limits on reproductive freedom imposed since 1973.
Those activists planned a march for April 25. "Anti-choice zealots want to impose their views and theology on the rest of us, and that's just not right," said Gloria Feldt, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

See how the leftist media spreads "the big lie"?
The crowd was estomated to be as much as 300,000. But they bury this article inside the paper, and try to diminish the impact.

The media has been following a very deliberate strategy of trying to marginalize the pro-lie movement, to downplay it, and focus solely on extremists (attacks on abortion clinics and providers).

Even as I type this, my son is coming home by bus from the March, yesterday. Throughout the day, I thought of him and prayed for an end to this scourage. Yet, it is important to remain upbeat. My son went with about forty other high schoolers from central Illinois. They're great kids. Far more infused with God's grace than I was at their age. Sooner or later, either the easy way or the hard way (i.e. chastisement) this injustice will end.

I was thinking the same thing. That looks like a lot more folks than the "million-mom" thing and that got coverage for days leading up and after.
The news organizations don't dare let those who really are pro-life, but are afraid to voice it know they are not alone.

My 17-year old son got back yesterday morning around 6:00 on the bus from DC. He went with several other high schoolers from the Louisville/Southern IN area. This was his 3rd year to go. Our oldest son - who couldn't go this year because of a heavy load of college classes (he's a junior) has gone in past years.
Anyway - my 17-year old son told me that the crowd seemed a lot bigger than the other 2 years he had gone.

I went to the March for Life, and can assure you it was more than 15,000. As for "mostly teenagers" I don't think so. It was a healthy mix of ALL ages.

Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kansas) Reps. Christopher H. Smith (R-New Jersey), W. Todd Akin (R-Missour), Todd Tiahart (R-KS), Steve Chabot (R-Ohio), Jim Ryun (R-KS), Melissa Hart (R-Pennsylvania), Mike Pence (R-Indiana), Ron Lewis (R-New York), Roscoe Bartlett (R-Maryland), Rick Renzi (R-Arizona), Steve King (R-Iowa), Thaddeus G. McCotter (R-Michigan), Michael C. Burgess (R-Texas), and Patrick J. Toomey (R-PA). OK - so that's the list of Republicans who addressed the rally. Where is the list of Democrats? You know - the party that's the big tent party? The party that has all points of view in it? The party that "looks like America"?

Those in the pro-life movement should be encouraged. Public opinion is headed in their direction, albeit slowly. And the rallies for life seem to grow larger each year.

Great message from the prez!
I was at CPAC and missed the March. Did anyone hear the media's crowd (under)estimate?
