Bush has always been squishy on the assault weapons issue, but the White House thoughtfully warned members of Congress that if they wanted the AW Ban to die, they'd have to deal with it themselves. Same thing we were told about McCain-Feingold CFR and the Medicar give-away. Whoops... looks like Bush signed both of those.
