When guns are banned you can bet the third way fascio-socialists will still have theirs
You will be the one left without a gun or a means to resist...criminals or them

That's the reality of the socialist plan...while promising lowering crime and protecting children
is their holy mantra it's only to get you to disarm willingly & without a fight

They will promise peace and safety all you have to do is give up freedom.....in the end you get neither

They lie

And socialist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who signed what officials are calling the disarmament act Dec. 23, is also planning a national referendum in 2005, in which voters will decide on a ban on all handgun sales in Brazil.

Wonder who will supply the voting machines and personnel for this vote...Broward County democraps?

They'll pass the law and then confiscate the weapons. Then comes the fun part, the standard excuses. As the murder rate skyrockets after many honest citizens have turned in their handguns, the politicians will begin tinkering with the data. Gunshot murders will be coded as "cause unknown" and "new" laws proposed to solve the problem. There will be gun buybacks with millions of dollars wasted/stolen to buy a couple of hundred weapons not in working order and the politicians will pat themselves on the back. There will be great pressure on the media not to talk about all the murders; "it sets the wrong tone" and the media will comply. And, here and there, the neocommunists will scream that gun laws reduced crime and the US must follow the broad international lead, no matter what the numbers prove. Bunk!!

Please forgive a slightly off topic post:

I just bought a TC Hawken Rifle and was joking with a friend about the relative safety of them and said that the last time a murder was committed with a black powder firearm was probably the Lincoln assassination.

I realize that someone may still hit someone over the head with a CVA rifle, but does anyone know of the last high profile crime in the US committed with a Black powder firearm?

Please forgive my off topic thirst for trivia.

the U.S. firearms murder rate in 2003 was about 29,000, the [Washington ComPost] said).

Two lies in one, from the Washington ComPost! First, 30,000 is the US rate for all gun deaths, homicides, suicides, and accidents combined. Suicides are more than half that number. The number of firearm "homicides" is about 10,000, give or take, but this number includes justifiable homicides as well as murders, and includes killings by law enforcement officers. I don't know how many homicides are justifiable compared to the total, but I do know that it is a lie to say that all homicides are murders. The ComPost went one further than that, and has called all deaths in total, murders. Which is typical and to be expected from this pack of leftist scumbags.

More surprising is that NewsMax passed along the report without comment or correction.
