This whole accommodation of illegals and their sponsors in the corrupt Mexican government just serves to illustraye the fact that, at the national level, our leaders have become COMPLETELY out of touch with us, the hard-working men and women who make this country what it is.
The problem, IMO, is that it is far too easy for "immigration advocates" to paint anyone who opposes having millions and millions of illiterate, unskilled immigrants flooding our country as racist. And we all know what happens to anyone who actually speaks their mind and is branded as such by the media...

....guess he forget he said this at the
Conference on New American Strategies for Security and Peace
October 29, 2003Staying a step ahead of the forces of change requires an ability to foresee and appreciate the consequences of our actions, a willingness to learn the hard lessons both from history and from our own experiences, and a relentless persistence in the face of unrelenting difficulties. Acheson and the Wise Men of his time got it right. America helped shape the direction of change after World War II through inspired leadership, strength, the judicious use of that strength, alliances and institutions, and a commitment to American values. And we helped make a better world.http://hagel.senate.gov/index.html

Was there ever a time when Hagel was not a Rhino? Is he proud of a gay son or daughter, or is it something else?

"...Dubya.....In the first place..."
There were already 3 bills on immigration reform introduced into Congress; Tancredo, McCain et al, and Cornyn. Plus Larry Craig of Idaho has a bill that deals with ag workers only.
