When Bush Loses In November, He Will Have No One To Blame But Himself

By Chuck Baldwin

Food For Thought From The Chuck Wagon

January 23, 2004 Let me be the first one to say it: President Bush is on track to lose in November, and it won't matter who his Democratic opponent is. His fabrications, deceptions, and prevarications are just too much to stomach. His duplicity rivals anything in the previous administration, a Republican name plate notwithstanding.

It's hard to think of anything this president has done right. His policies are every bit as socialist (or fascist) as the most liberal Democrat. We have lost more freedoms during the last three years than we had lost during the previous thirty! Even though Bush has enjoyed Republican majorities in both houses of Congress, neither conservatives nor constitutionalists can point to a single victory Bush has given them. Not one!

Babies are still being aborted at an escalating rate. The Bush administration has done as much (or more) to promote the homosexual agenda as any Democrat. Bush has proliferated the growth of federal spending and corresponding federal deficits to levels not seen in decades. Furthermore, he has created the embryo of a giant Orwellian police state while at the same time offering amnesty and legitimacy to foreign criminals who have invaded our country. If all of that isn't bad enough, Bush even threw his support behind the Clinton gun ban!

Due to Bush's dismal record, the Democratic nominee (whoever he is) will have to work at losing this election. The facade of a "wartime" president is wearing thin. Moreover, gas and oil prices have skyrocketed since oilmen Bush and Cheney rode into Washington, D.C. In addition, without a willingness to cut spending, Bush's tax cuts are a fraud! And now Bush wants to spend an additional billion dollars annually (where this money is coming from nobody knows) to send men to Mars. Get real!

Beyond that, Bush has repeatedly stated that his war against Iraq was fought for the purpose of "enforcing the demands of the United Nations." Now, isn't that lovely? Does he really expect us to re-elect him President of these United States after hearing that he ordered more than 500 brave, patriotic Americans to die in Iraq on behalf of the UN? Does he think we are a bunch of morons? He must.

G.W. Bush deserves to be a one-term president. And the truth is, the nation won't be worse off with a Democratic replacement. At least with a Democrat in the White House, Republicans in Congress might decide to actually oppose liberal policies.

With a liberal Democrat in the White House, a president might get 40% of his agenda through Congress. Bush, on the other hand, will get 80% of his policies through Congress, and Bush's policies are every bit as bad as any liberal Democrat's. So, you tell me who is actually "the lesser of two evils."

(If you would like to track the ongoing Bush record, go to http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/bushrecord.html.)

Therefore, when Bush loses in November, he will have no one to blame but himself.

They are an insignificant, but vociferous little swarm of so-called "true" conservatives.

And the numbers are static. They are fevers searching for the "uber-conservative" savior. They care not where he comes from and they ALWAYS pick the one with the least chance of wining. There is a segment in this country that just feels more comfortable sniping from the sidelines rather than actually getting their jerseys dirty on the field. They have no reason for existence beyond complaining and spouting slogans that they know will never be tested in the real world. They love being on the outside and the LAST thing they want is to win because if they did win they would have to accomplish something. They hide utter contempt for those that actually fight the battles behind their “principles” when in fact their ONLY “principle” is to remain on the outside shooting in.

I figured the same would've happened at mid-term 2002 elections, especially in Florida, but it didn't happen. Why not?

I couldn't possibly tell you why. I have a mom that *loves* Jeb (for reasons she's been unable/unwilling to communicate). But she doesn't "like" GWB anymore.

I don't know why. But she's in Florida. I'm not. Her vote will be more crucial than mine.

I have other relatives in neighboring states (and in FL too). But I realize it's not worth fighting over... he's not winning here (CA) but rather is going to lose elsewhere. Or not, maybe, but it's a very thin chance, IMO.

I think he is truly out of touch.

Hide and watch, Benji.

Bush will beat ANY of these poseurs from the Democratic side.

It's all part of his genius plan, right? You know what I think? . . . it doesn't matter what I think. Bush will be reelected and people should get used to it.

Yeah! Just who does Chuck Baldwin think he is, anyway? Someone living in a country that enjoys freedom of speech, or something?

When did I say Mr. Baldwin could not enjoy the privilege of freedom of speech?

Chuck Baldwin certainly speaks freely. And he's free to speak to his heart's desire. I'm free to tune him out when I hear the sound of his voice.

Exactly. They love to lose, they've never won. Sanctimonious bitching is their oxygen.

It's a common disorder. Psychiatry has a term for them --- husband is sleeping or I'd ask him --- but he treats many a patient with this disorder, and they're mostly women. Imagine the laughs I have reading such tripe from men here. LOL!

He'll carry California this time,...

You realize that they claimed they'd carry CA *last time* right? [At least, there was a GOP strategist on the Lee Rodgers/Melon-y Morgan show claiming they would. Lee laughed at him. He's an old fart, but he was right about that.]

Then they got their double-digit loss? That's how I remember it. I could be hallucinating.

There is conservatism, and there's fringe.

And there's more lace on Chuck Baldwin than a Bourbon Street hermaphrodite.

Quote of the Day... or else there's just no blamed justice ANYplace! :)

You must have been asleep during the Clinton Administration. Clinton made lying, scheming, cheating and misleading a fine art. Bush is not even in his class.

Don't be to sure. Bush has actually convinced half of Free Republic, the bastion of conservative, under the term compassionate conservatism, that socialism is a good thing.

I have watched on the course of the last five years (I’ve been lurking here long before I registered) large chucks of Free Republic go from rabid (in a good since) dogs for a Constitutional Republic to lapdogs for a socialist (tyrannical) democracy.

Personally, I don’t how I will vote next November; to many factors have yet to play out.

But Bush PASSING THE BUCK on CFR, supporting the EXTENSION of the Assault Weapons Ban and pandering for ILLEGAL VOTES from illegal immigrants by offering amnesty (I don’t care what Orwellian double-speak you call it, at the end of the day, THAT IS WHAT IT IS) is where I DRAW THE LINE!!

I could go on, but you get the idea…

Jim really ought to consider shrugging off the dead weight in the forum, set a cover charge, and allow us to focus on scheming, instead of fighting these 3rd party fringers, interlopers, hopeless nay-sayers, and miserable malcontents. The upcoming election is just too important

You are looking at it all wrong. GW and others in Washington have driven people like me into the fray. I was out there looking but not finding what I wanted. After reading your post #130 , you got me thinking real hard on all this. Something I haven`t done lately. You did this by not bashing me like many others around here have ( BigSkyFreeper for one ). People actually can change their views. For the first time in awhile I actually considered my choices with the big picture in mind. Isn`t that what this forum is about. Working to vote out the Rat`s ? Bashing people that may not share the same view as you will not solve the problem. It only puts up walls between you and them.

Some will simply never listen. But I was listening. To those who had good advice to give. But the bashers were only making it hard to get the message. Cultural Jihad sent out a good message, and I got it. And I thank him/her for that.

I am not ever going to be behind everything Pres.Bush does. And will scream like heck when I feel I need to, and let those in Washington know. But the big picture is the important thing here. I think people like me just lost it because of some of the current events in Washington ( Judge appoinments not going through, big spending bills passed , immigration issues, etc...).

If you play it right, they can come back. But bashing them will not do it. Like me, they are pissed off. When your pissed off , you don`t always think straight. I tell you, I was so close to cutting a rug here. But one post has got me coming around. Think about that.
