Jeezy peezy, does every thread on this forum have to turned into a flame war over how people differ between worker program and amnesty.

Flame war? Who's being flamed and where?

You're exactly right; but the "rumor" isn't based in fact, period.

He can make some small changes in executive branch policy with EO’s, but wholesale changes like what he is talking about will require legislation.

Interesting read.

Here is where the rumor of the EO got started.

. . . perhaps if you had stayed awake, you would have heard him call for just such a plan [again, unbelievable!]

. . . Oops, forgot to ask you a question: Why do you care about immigration -- as a libertarian, you must know that your party supports open, unrestricted borders -- Hmmmmmmmmmm! OK, now go back to sleep!

You mean like the privatization of Medicare that will happen 2 years after he has left office and start with a minuscule pilot program that will only prove that privatization is not going to work? Again, wake me up when it's over (the Bush presidency that is).

And being a Republican you must be for blue-carded illegals and free drugs for geezers? I may disagree with 2% of what the LP stands for, but at least I know they say what they mean and mean what they say, which is miles ahead of the RP.

Well, your cry to Jim certainly inferred there was a flame war in progress.

And I don't know about the "Hunt-em down and Deport-"crowd, but I do know the very nature of this thread begs for a rebuttal. Bush completely avoided the amnesty for ILLEGALS issue in the SOTU; so did this article. Many conservatives, myself included, are vehemently opposed to any form amnesty. Unless you're a bleeding-heart liberal, you should be too.

How is that cartoon supposed to educate me? I'm opposed to ILLEGALS working in this country, be they at Wal-Mart or anywhere else.

Seems you're the one who's clueless.

Yeah, but the LP would make everyone buy their own drugs. If Granny wants to get high on Demerol, I really don't care so long as I am not paying for her habit.
