I did not mean to imply that it does. Sometimes though I think the harsh criticism on the part of what sometimes sounds like "self-righteous" pro-lifers, makes the problem worse.
The penalty for an unwanted pregnancy is now harsher than ever. Bearing a baby out of wedlock does not carry the harsh stigma that it did in the past, but having an unwanted pregnancy is no picnic to deal with for those caught in that trap.
This could happen to any number of us, at least to the average people I know. And once they find themselves in such a situation, pouring coals on their heads is not really helping make things better for anyone. It certainly won't bring the babies back.
Women are really doing what men have done for centuries. And once again, they have to pay a higher price for their behavior.
That's the attitude the liberals are railing against, how some people can get so ugly toward people who screw up.
