Jury says airline not liable in suit over 'racist rhyme'

Duct tape your head before reading this quote from one of the "victims" from a USA Today article:

Fuller said after the verdict that there was enough evidence for jurors to have found she had her sister had been discriminated against.

"If we had jurors of our peers then we would have won the case today, and we should have won the case today, with all the evidence shown," she said.

"It's a shame that the jury pool we had to draw from did not have one black and not one minority," she said. "Something has to be done to make sure there is justice in America for blacks."

Good thing for those two I wasn't the judge. I would have absolutely ripped them a new one for even daring to bring a lawsuit over something so idiotic.

Reminds me of the line "You're the pot calling the kettle black" which was said by a white woman (on the Apprentice reality show) to a black woman. The black woman went ballistic.

Saw that. What bothers me is that the white chick didnt blast her for her utter ignorance regarding the saying.

I would have said, "Your reaction to that famous line just shows that stupidity and sheer ignorance transcends all races. Ill let you do some research when you get home to find out the meaning of the saying. Idiot."

I had a black woman (an engineer no less) in my group quite a few years ago who refused to attend a meeting in a conference room that had the word "white" in it. ("Hall of White Mist" which I think was derived from Dungeons and Dragons or something like that)

Yeah - I saw that. Just ticked me off big time. I wish I could sue for all the short jokes I hear, being a petite woman. At work the other day, they were calling me a midget, a dwarf, a munchkin and I took it in good stride. I'm five feet tall so I don't qualify anyway. The funny thing is that there IS discrimination against small people. Tall people get better jobs, promotions, etc. It's a proven fact. Where's my lawyer? Where's the ACLU on discrimination of us short people? What about that obnoxious song that one guy wrote years ago with the lyrics "short people got no reason to live?"
