The fine will be some BS minisule amount and the reward is that they will be allowed to remain here and pursue citizenship at all, which they do not deserve.

From what I heard the proposed amount is $1500. Not a small sum for someone who makes less than minimum wage

As was stated on another post yesterday. Someone contacted their senators office and they were told that Bush intends to use an executive order to implement the amnesty program.

Maybe a disruptor trying to stir up the pot? Bush clearly stated he would work with Congress:

"Today, I ask the Congress to join me in passing new immigration laws that reflect these principles, that meet America's economic needs, and live up to our highest ideals."

It was not a disruptor and considering the fact that 35% of illegal aliens are on some form of government assitance and most of them get paid under the table I have no doubts they will be able to come up with $1,500 easier than I would.
