You just stated that a Democrat in the White House is your preference, that makes you a liberal in the Pelosi/Clinton sense.
I am just borrowing a play out of the Bush playbook. You see, sometimes we need to take a step back before taking two forward. Like with Greedy-Geezer drugs. We give away free drugs now, so that 6 years from now we can start our plan to privatize Medicare. With a Dem as prez, we keep Congress and the WH at each other's throat's so they can't pass anymore stupid entitlements, and in the meantime we open up the prez position to someone who is interested in rolling back govt. Simple really but it takes more than a simpleton to see it.
