No, I think they could hire citizens at minimum wage atleast if they need people in the fields. The "Americans won't do those jobs" talk is pure BS. Both of my parents worked in cotton fields when they were young along with a lot of other Americans and I'm sure plenty could still be found to work the fields if needed. Bush suggesting that Americans won't do those jobs is an insult to Americans.

Cal a few years ago, and I quickly noticed that most of the "dirty" jobs done by illegals down in the Southland are done by U.S. citizens up here (although there are illegals up here as well.....just not nearly as many). Sure, it costs a little more, but the costs to the nation are far less in the long run.

That's a great idea. If illegal aliens have to register, then the businesses have to pay them minimum wage... then there is no incentive to hire anyone but legal AMERICANS. See how it works??
