Jim Robinson did exactly that in 2000. He banished a large number of Brigadiers for advocating just what you propose.

He actually banned only about three that anyone can recall. They got banned for being too aggressive and provocative, not for supporting a non-Bush.

The rest of us stuck around. And nearly all of us voted for Bush in the end. FR's Brigade only ever produced about a half-dozen votes for Buchanan.

Trust me, I know this matter better than you do.

Ah, yes. The Hillary Clinton and Ollie North defense: "I don't recall that."

It was a lot more than that.
