You're the first one to pick up on that.Ohhhh. OK, thanks for confirming the meaning of your name. I received an email today that might be of interest to you. Since I'm a girl, I have no need for what they're selling. Just FReepmail me your address and I'll forward it.
BTW Harry Browne will be the LP candidate for prez.
And that has what to do with a Senate race in Georgia?

And that has what to do with a Senate race in Georgia? Nothing really. It was a comment on the odds that Republicrats really want to or will do anything substantive once elected. I could have said "when hell freezes over", but at least by comparing it to the LP's chances of getting elected, I make a point about how best to actually limit govt in the future.
As for the other thing, why don't you pass that on to the guy who fancies himself Thomas Paine. My experience is those who need to hide behind grandeur have the most to compensate for.

Nanodik, I find it very difficult to see where you are coming from. Ideologically speaking, of course.

Please add me to the Cain ping list. I had the pleasure of meeting Veritas_est at the ProLife rally in Atlanta today as he was passing out Cain literature.
Herman Cain was there, but I just missed seeing him. Darn.

Sorry, I posted to the wrong Freeper, I meant to post to NewLand. Please add me to the Cain ping list. Thanks.

I say YES to the Fair Tax.
But the article makes it sound like something happens at $85,000 income level????
That is not the case. Income is no longer important with respect to taxes...

THe bill (HR 25) has 42 cosponsors now...and has been introduced in the Senate (1493) ... progress is being made. Keep educatin'!

weigh in with your pros and cons on the national sales tax/consumption tax I didn't know it had any "cons". The usual compaints about it come from the uneducated (and most especially from those unwilling to be educated) about the topic.
Pros:
- Puts the burden of the federal government on every receipt instead of hiding it inside layers of VAT-like hidden taxes
- Lets individuals have first claim on their money and what they want to do with it
- Does not discriminate on age, race, gender, income, religion, or an other political or social grouping
- It is cost-of-living agnostic -- income tax brackets disproportionately tax those in higher cost-of-living areas
- The government no longer has the right or need to compel individuals to provide their financial details
- ...

Heck, isn't anyone going to provide folks with some links to the bills so they can study the legislation?
