I got no problem with what Kerry did. In fact, I have no problem with those who went to Canada, or those who deserted. At least they took a stand. That's more than I can say for x42. Clinton had his cake and ate it too. He never paid a price and, in my mind, gave up the moral right to be the Commander in Chief. Kerry, as far as I know, broke no laws. He may have had ulterior motives, but he was exercising his constitutional rights. As for draft evaders and deserters, Carter gave them a blanket amnesty. It, too, is the law.

Did you check out the site on Kerry? A war hero who was grazed three times and put in for a transfer home. Then he gets out early to run for Congress. Loses quickly and realizes that he must be against the war to succeed politically, so he switches sides. Just what does Kerry stand for? Important to know before voting for him. He is a loose cannon. I do have a problem with him. Sounds more like he is for John F. Kerry and nothing else. Bush clearly understands that he is President to SERVE us. Unlike the former Clinton who used interns to "service" him. Clearly this bid of Kerry's is more reminiscent of Clinton then a public servant, which when all is said and done is precisely what the president is.

I got no problem with what Kerry did. . . . . Kerry, as far as I know, broke no laws.

One of the photos is Kerry being arrested, albeit for some misdemeanor (probably disorderly conduct) at a Memorial Day protest.

Ignoring the petty law-breaking as admittedly of little significance some 30 years later, and without trying to re-fight the Vietnam war, do you think that Kerry's actions upon his return from war:

(1) dishonored his service,

(2) undercut his fellow servicemen still in Vietnam,

(3) gave aid and comfort to enemies of the U.S., not much different from Tokyo Rose in WWII, and

(4) undercut the ability of the U.S. government to prevail (either in combat or negotiation)?

Thanks again for your valliant service in Vietnam and elsewhere. Hope to see you at CPAC!
