Lahore, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami and MMA acting president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has strongly condemned the fresh arrests of nuclear scientists and termed it worst kind of victimization of national heroes to please the Bush administration.
In a statement, Qazi Hussain Ahmad called the arrests humiliation and harassment of national heroes on the behest of Washington. He said, those scientists toiled day and night to make national defense unconquerable but the manner in which they were picked up in the darkness of the night and mentally tortured in the name of de-briefing bowed the heads of all patriotic citizens with shame.
The JI leader said the criminal attitude of Musharraf regime with national award holder nuclear scientists could not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He said the US was dreaming of ruling the whole world and could not tolerate independence and sovereignty of any self respecting nation. He termed it sheer bad luck that present rulers had jeopardized national security and solidarity since they were coward enough to stand the absurd demands of the US. He said the nation was proud of its nuclear scientists and felt the agony of their harassment like their family members.
