"Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests"
George Washington
Thanks!....we oughta' build a monument to that guy and his brand of thinkin'.

The U.S. intelligence community alleges the MEK was responsible for the deaths of at least six American servicemen and civilians in Iran during the mid-1970s and actively participated in the 1979 U.S. Embassy seizure in Tehran. Having fallen afoul of Khomeini, in 1986 the group took refuge in Baghdad under Saddam Hussein. They're also, as I understand, out and out loonies, basically worshiping some charasmatic leader in cultlike manner.

I am actually on DrZin's ping list on Iran- know what the opposition is saying and all that. Plus I don't want to be accused of being ignorant of what is going on inside of Iran right now.

You can't comment on what they say- unless you know what they say.

I am always looking out for my fellow Americans, but at the same time, you didn't think I was going to get respectable on you, now did you?
Yours in liberty,

Bush favors freedom in Iran, and so do I. To be precise, I've favored freedom in Iran for a long time.

Right on! I wish that the naive American media/government would understand the situation in Iran - They are playing good cop/bad cop with us. They are laughing their a$$ off!
The militant fanatic Islamists are in 100% control of Iran. Dreamers in this country keep dreaming that the dozen or so pro-Americans can didley to topple the Mullahs.
