I suppose the shipping is pretty dear, but check out

Thanks. The shipping costs are certain to be more than a bucket of Quaker Oats.

Try to get McCann's *IRISH* oatmeal as a good alternative... it is widely sold. or, try a google or froogle search. various specialty stores offer it...

We'll probably do just that. Even if it is Irish.

I get the McCann's Irish Oatmeal at a local grocery, and it is excellent. I put it in the crockpot at bedtime and it is ready in the morning.

Ahhhhh..Ye of wee faith! You go believing the English lies about Haggis! Ye can't go calling Robert Burns a Liar, now, can ye? I've been making haggis now for a bit over 8 years and have been canning it commercially for about 2 1/2 years. Someone didn't bother to check with the USDA to see if there was another canned haggis on the market. Take a look at it at www.caledoniankitchen.com. Read the entire story on how exposure to some great haggis in Scotland led me to this demented hobby, now a new career as "Laird o 'Tha Haggis"!

At last! It was always such a bother to make the Christmas haggis from scratch, especially since no one else would eat evan a tiny bit of it. Hogmaw is the offal-based holiday meal of choice at my old home place... but then again, sheep are far rarer than pigs in that neck of the woods.

Real Scottish Oatmeal translates to a lot of American things. Steel cut oats is one of them and you can find it in any natural food store. Lots of grocery stores sell "Oat Groats", too. Often they are called "Pinhead Oats".
