I dont understand your point. The verse uses a word for KERCHIEF that is defined as a SWARTHING cloth that is used to wrap around the face for burial.

My point in this, is the person who wears this would have their beard held down against his face, and the Shroud image does not.

Both Lazarus and Jesus had this, both accounts said this in Scripture as a part of the Jewish Burial, not some Egyptian burial like someone said earlier.

It would not matter if this face swarthing was under the burial cloth or over the burial cloth: either use would hold the beard down, and the image on the Shroud does not show that, it shows a flowing beard.

Therefore: Since Jesus (and Lazarus also, according to Scripture) had this face swarthing done to them, this image is NOT JEsus. (Nor would it be Lazarus if he was buried the same way as he was the first time)

From Lazarus death and revival account, Lazarus could have had this face Swarthing on UNDER the burial cloth, for he was walking around out to the exit of the tomb with the face cloth still applied to his face. But, from the account, that is not clear just from Scripture.

(John 11:43 KJV) And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

(John 11:44 KJV) And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Since this is the clearlest example we have from Scripture on this, then we have to conclude that Jesus had this on His face, with the burial cloth put on AFTER His face was wrapped with the Swarthing Cloth.
