Bush is a "do person".

You cannot do without breaking some eggs.

I admire him for taking these issues head on, even with the election so close.

Amazing behavior from a politician. Totally opposite of Clinton and his father.

He has my respect and admiration, regardless of my agreement or lack of same on some bill signings that I thought he should have sent back.

I regret that not all have the same opinion, but many of these divisive conservative issues have complex realities, like education and immigration.

These issues have many more years before they are straightened out and they cannot be addressed in the confines of one bill or even one presidency.

I understand this fact and act accordingly. I would hope others do as well.

Good post, I seem to recall Bush 41 vetoed 37 pieces of legislation, but he was the "Do-Nothing" President.
