Doug, if anyone wondered about the import of this election, and how the Democrats see their current positioning and prospects ... throwing Pelosi AND Daschele up to the mike for the "loyal oppostion" rebuttal speaks volumes. That's unusual in as many years as I recall. Usually, it's a token statement by a talented young secondary prospect.
This is serious, historic political business come November.

The Democrats' response is playing like a PARODY of a response, my daughter and I keep looking at each other and giggling. It's like something you'd see on SNL.
