Historic! We ought to have a pool for the number of eye-rolling shots from the beast. And also, what color will be her outfit tonight?
To: Dog; Hillary's Lovely Legs
Perhaps someone should start a new thread and leave this one to the folks who intend to vote for someone other than President!
In the meantime, I'm hoping first on the agenda is his call for Congress to make the tax cuts permanent.

I haven't heard Bush's [we-can't-call-it] amnesty agenda mentioned on any of the programs discussing tonight's SOTU speech. Are you refering to the Mexican sellout that dare not speak it's own name? The people who have been parsing every word of the amnesty plan, ala clinton, have been amusing.

Ah, we can dream, can't we.
To: PureSolace
Sure they can, but you have to have hydrogen first.
Only really practical way to get that is to burn hydrocarbons.
Hydrocarbons like gas, coal, oil....

Closing the borders and stopping runaway spending would be some darn nice things to hear about, but Bush has my vote. In California, I can't think of voting for anyone else, just on the offhand chance that Arnold has coattails.

"Screw the deficit... Lets go to Mars!"Maybe it'll open up jobs there that no American wants to do, e.g., washing and waxing the Spirit robot explorer.
Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them
If you did . . . .

I'm sure the beast will be her usual disgusting self. I'm trying to decide whether to tape this from C-Span or Fox. Do you have any idea which would be best?

I was taking the http://www.whitehouse.gov test about the history of the state of the union and came across this question...
Q6. Where do modern-day State of the Union addresses occur?
A. Supreme Court
B. Department of State
C. The White House
D. U.S. Capitol
E. A taco stand in Staten Island
I thought it was cute. :)

Bush Defends Iraq War in Speech Excerpts
Tue January 20, 2004 05:45 PM ET
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush, in excerpts of his State of the Union speech on Tuesday, defended the Iraq war and said the work of building a new Iraq "is hard and it is right."
Bush issued an appeal to Americans to stick with his programs this election year. "We have not come all this way, through tragedy, and trial and war -- only to falter and leave our work unfinished," he said.
