Police find 28 HIV-positive men at gay orgy
Taipei - A Taiwan health official on Tuesday warned islanders against unprotected sex after disclosing that 28 people in a 92-strong gay orgy proved to be HIV-positive.
"Among the 92 young men who took part in the home party last Saturday, 14 admitted they were hospital-registered Aids patients or HIV carriers. Another 14 also tested positive to HIV, so there are 28 Aids patients or HIV carriers," Ling Ding, deputy director of the Centre for Disease Control, told a news conference.
"Test results also showed that 46 participants, including 14 HIV carriers, are infected with syphilis," he said.
"This means that half of the participants in the home party are infected with HIV or other sexually-transmitted disease. This fully shows the danger of attending such parties," he said.
Under Taiwan's Aids Prevention and Treatment Bill, anyone who knowingly spreads Aids faces up to seven years in prison.
The men, including a Japanese student and six Hong Kong men, wore only their underpants and were packed into an apartment which had been converted into a dance hall.
The apartment has a shower room, a room with a big bed and a room with lockers to store clothes.
Police found hundreds of ecstasy pills and dozens of used condoms on the floor and arrested the organisers - a gay couple - on charges of obscene behaviour. - Sapa-dpa

You'd think if you were to the point being treated for AIDS and not merely HIV positive, orgies would be the last thing on your mind.

Here is an interesting twist. My husband once worked with a gay Chinese man, I think from Hong Kong. He was about to get married into an arranged marriage.
He was a blatant homosexual and this confounded my husband. One of the girls in the office told my husband he (the gay man) told them it was acceptable in the culture to have homosexual relationships outside the marriage as long as it was discrete.

Other than AIDS, hepatitis, syphilis, intestinal infection, ephebophilia and psychosis, it's a perfectly healthy and natural lifestyle choice!

That seems to be true with Arab men as well Yes. I had always had my suspicions that there was a bit of homosexuality within the Arab/Muslim culture.
I recently read a book titled "The Bookseller of Kabul" a sort of narrative about an Afghan businessman's life before and after the war.
In one chapter they go into Khost and it tells of these warlord generals who all keep these young boys who hang outside the compounds dressed as young women. Big, burly masculine type military men and these young frail boys who according to the author look like beautiful young girls.

"A Taiwan health official on Tuesday warned islanders against unprotected sex after disclosing that 28 people in a 92-strong gay orgy proved to be HIV-positive."
Yet they continue to scream that any association made between AIDS and homosexuality is "ignorant" or "biased". I say that not only is AIDS more prevalent with homosexuals, but they also seem to suffer from another unnamed ailment which causes, among other things, the muscles that hold their wrist upright to quickly degenerate.

Yes, I know about this disgusting event. It seems that one Lu Yun Chong, a 22 year old student at National Chungchi University in Taipei's ETP Program, was one of the arrested and HIV positive. This individual is going to be sued for exposing a completely innocent and loving individual to AIDS and for theft. I hope that the Taiwanese government will prosecute all the attendees and participants at this unspeakable "party" for knowingly exposing others to the possibility of infection with AIDS, as well as charging ALL of them with the full force of Taiwan's STRONG anti illegal drug laws - whether they were using them at the time of the "home party" or not is irrelevant; they all knew drugs were being used there, and who knows who brought them and/or was selling them to the "happy partygoers." Lock these criminals up and throw away the key or EXECUTE them for attempted murder. Disgusting. Appalling.
