The Dems could, COULD field a viable campaign if they announced a "unity" ticket tomorrow..say..Kerry as Pres..Edwards as VP, with the promise to appoint Clark as SecDef..Lieberman as Sec State..Dean as HHS secretary, etc...Gephardt as Labor sec....instantly unify all the various constituencies..only problem is the Clintons wouldn't allow it....

And don't leave the jock who fouled out, Bill Bradley, out of the mix, although his endorsement of Dean won't help!
