Clark was wounded also, but not crippled.
The problem with Clark is he is a martinet and as much as he tries to project warmth, all he projects is bristle and an overbearing manner. Of course, Kerry has all the charm of Frankenstein but none of the redeeming features.
It will be interesting to see who can outdo the other for warmth in the freezing mountains of New Hampshire. I'll put my money on Edwards, who is a slickster with smooth southern charm.
Kerry and Clark will both be after the "veteran vote". One thing I can't figure out is why so many veterans and veterans organizations seem to be flim-flammed by the likes of Kerry. He touts his "hero" status to all, but those in the know must be aware of his key role in the Vietnam Anti-War movement - a movement instrumental in an American foreign policy disaster and South-East Asian slaughter of millions. The killing continues on today.
Kerry is a pot-headed loser who stabbed the rest of we veterans of that generation in the back and disgraced his uniform. He shouldn't be allowed to get away with touting the glory of his earlier deeds while ignoring the calumny of his later actions. The damage he did later far outweighs the good he did earlier.
It is pathetic any thinking veteran would support him.
But, I fear I smell another PT-109 saga brewing, especially after seeing the guy he "rescued" all over the TV last night. That man is the greatest thing Kerry has going for him. I wonder how he found this golden nugget, as the guy apparently didn't go looking for Kerry...?
