Oohhh, love that Aeroplane! (What IS it?!)

It's a Taylor Aerocar. It was certificated by the FAA in 1954, but only 4 were built. It is both a car and an airplane (although it does neither particularly well).

It's such a neat-looking thing - have never seen it before. Looks like the wings would awfully cumbersome as a CAR! :)
