"I have a funny feeling that Edwards is going to be the one, not Kerry."

Some of us here have been saying for three years that Edwards will be the nominee. He fits the Clinton profile in many ways, without the obvious sleaze: Southern, relatively centrist, affable, photogenic. The soccer moms will love him; I think he'll eventually overtake horse-face, who I think peaked last night.

I've never thought Edwards wanted, expected, or was up for anything except to be someone's VP, and that for geographical balance only. Problem.....the dems can't afford to look indifferent to taking 2 democrats out of the senate.

Edwards is a cocky lawyer...he figures voters are nothing more than gullible jurors, and he knows how to fool those fools. Oh that smile! Oh the experience of tricky deception! And lest you forget, he's a snake, mean, and totally self-consumed, integrity be damned. If you watched him take smug delight in savaging decent, honorable, men and women up for judicial confirmation, you know what I mean.

I think he's a cocky gadfly. He made his millions, so quit the law, decided he wanted to be a senator, now he wants to move up, a totally premature ambition.
