Unfortunately, Dean self imploded before he had it all wrapped up. I have been a close follower of politics for over 25 years, and this freefall even surprises me. I think a ticket of Kerry at the top and Edwards as VP would provide a tough ticket for Bush. What do you all think? Probably the toughest combination of those still realistically in the hunt. It recreates the classic Kennedy/Johnson ticket of 1960.
On the other hand, this isn't 1960. The Dems haven't won with a northern liberal since 1960. My money would still be on Bush, but he'd have to work harder for it than with any other likely combination.

Brit just mentioned that Dicky is going to St. Louie instead of NH tmrw! Is he leaving politics for good?

The Dems haven't won with a northern liberal since 1960. Well WON may be a little strong in reference to that election mess.
