Well it doesn't really matter if we were originally wrong and it causes cooling instead of warming. The really really important thing to remember is its REALLY BAD and the only way we are ever going to stop mother nature from changing is to turn over all our power to the communist leftists among us.... [ /sarcasm off ]
Actually truth be told they originally were afraid of the ice age back in the 60's and early 70's then it was warming, now its merely climate change.

In the seventies, the same solution, a carbon tax, was considered the remedy to global cooling.
it's all about the money.

BS = Barbra Streisand, that's perfect!I can't take credit for the phrasing. I heard it from Rush Limbaugh.

Wow. We're causing global cooling, eh?
Kinda makes you wonder how the Earth ever swung the last ice age without us...

First it's HOT FLASHES
Then it's FREEZING TEMERATURES

I don't get offended if you want to be removed.
If this is taxes with reprsentation
Give me taxes without representation
I much prefer a tax on tea!
Instead of everything else.

U-M graduate student Yang Chen, and assistant professor Xiquan Dong from the University of North Dakota Department of Atmospheric Science, reported their findings in the Jan. 15 issue of the journal Nature. We may be exporting our IT jobs but we are getting their scientist in trade...

press report of a "warming Mars"Yeah, I ahven't heard much about this either after the initial report. How about this one:
CO2 doesn't reflect infrared in one direction only-- if CO2 increases at higher altitude, won't it reflect more infrared from the Sun away from the Earth?
Maybe that's why the high altitude satellite measurements show no warming or a slight cooling.
Any thoughts? My thoughts are the climatologists are hunting for grant-rabbit without even a defined set of parameters to model global climate.

So the eco-freaks can argue it both ways
Either fossil fuels cause global warming, which is bad, or they cause global cooling, which is bad.
In common law jurisdictions, there is a legal principle, one of the Maxims of Equity, to the effect that "thou shalt not suck and blow in the same breath".

There are good and bad parts to that.
At the Big 12 school that I did my graduate work in...a physics professor was
FINALLY exposed as having taken ONLY foreign graduate students whose home-country
governments would pay for their graduate education.
American citizens were thusly excluded from the laboratory of this
professor whose salary was paid by the US Federal government and the state
(and government thereof) that paid for the university.
I'm not bashing the GREAT and industrious graduate students our universities
get (and sometimes exploit) from other countries...just giving an
example of how a poohbah (professor) might respond to some perverse incentives!
Sad to say...I often found I had more in common with my fellow graduate students from
foreign countries...
