Sorry...but McNabb is nothing more than a mediocre QB

I would put McNabb in the top ten to twelve QBs in the NFL. His problem is that he was a #1 draft choice and was then way, way over-hyped (and overpaid), and so Philly is stuck with him for better or worse. He's strong, he has a lot of heart, and he can be a good scrambling/running quarteback if he ever resolves to play the game the way McNair plays it.

He is simply only an average passer, maybe a little better. But Elway or Marino he ain't.

Now, McNair...there's a tough QB. I love watching him play.

I think I said he was only a mediocre QB if you kept him from running as Carolina did. Given his running ability, I would NOT say he is "mediocre," but pretty good---like Michael Vick. However, I also think that a running QB is in for a very short career. The only "scrambler" ever to win a championship was Roger Staubach, AFTER Landry got him to be a pocket passer. Fran Tarkenton had perhaps the longest career of any scrambler . . . but never won the big one.
