It was the MEDIA Rush was talking about not McNabb per se. Sounds to me like you're just another Rush hater.

I'm indifferent toward Rush, with a lean toward liking him because he tweaks liberals. I've followed the entire situation rather closely, and it's clear that Rush dragged McNabb into a situation he wanted no part of. It was unprofessional and inappropriate, period. Rush made a mistake, but it doesn't necessarily change my opinion of him.

That is so far from the truth. Rush was one of four five people on the show offering their opionion of 'what's wrong wuth McNabb'. That was the title of the segment, and what was written on the bottom of the screen. Each prepared ahead of time for the segment, practiced it on Saturday, and then performed on the Sunday show. They all singled out McNabb, and Rush's comments produced no issue from the staff or producers for 2 days when some wussy liberals spoke up. He didn't single out McNabb with his comments, the show did...and later the media singled out Rush for his comments during the segment.

Rush's comment were at least partly accurate. The media has been pushing the concept of the 'mobile, atheletic quarterback' for a number of years. 'mobile, athletic' means black. Rush's commentary was that the Eagles team is good primarily because the defense is good, but that the media had given McNabb a vast portion of the credit for their success. He attributed that to the promotion of the black quarterback. Rush used the fact that McNabb's QB rating was quite average to show that his onfield performance was really never all that great. In that aspect he is very correct.

I think it had more to do with that quarterbacks always get a disproportionate amount of the credit or blame for any team, regardless of race. I look at Kurt Warner, for example. His QB numbers were high, but I question whether most average QBs wouldn't have similar number given the offense around Warner at the time. Yet he was MVP.
