And if that's the case then you have to blame the refs for not calling the play dead, you don't blame the guy for doing his job when he had no way of seeing that and was instead listening for a whistle that was never blown

It's only a cheap shot if the play had been blown dead and he hit him anyway.

I'm not one of those claiming it was a cheap shot. I'm just saying it shouldn't have happened if the refs had seen it and blown it dead. That's life -- the refs miss things all the time.
