Bush has done a great deal to secure the US borders. I read somewhere that illegal immigration across the border is way down, but the media is not reporting it, so they don't have to give credit to Bush for it.

Gee, that's funny. I remember monumental battles over the IRCA in 1996, the pleasure of watching Judd Gregg beat Daschle into a pulp over an attempt to extend the 245(i) amnesty back in 2000, the gains made in the Congress by the Republicans when Gingrich et al shook their fists in Clinton's face and said go to hell on mass immigration. I was even silly enough to believe that Bush would do the same.

Maybe you weren't paying attention, but a lot of us were.

Well dangblasted, it ought to be. We've exported our manufacturing jobs to prime countries Illegaliens hail from in a number that should drop their desire to leave. We can give President Bush's hapless gang credit for some of that too, if you want.

Actually, you're wrong on this one. I'll go look up the numbers for you, but crossings in the Tucson sector are way up and they are being reported. I'll have links and excerpts for you in a couple of minutes...
