NO, I detest her " conviction "; especially because it is a conviction of error. :-(

You'll love this.

I used to ask questions at parties when I was social (yes, I'm truly a hermit living in my batcave) to bait the liberal idiots and morons.

One was, "what is the most abundant element in the air we breathe"? The idiots that would say oxygen were so convinced they were right and would argue with me until they turned blue. And I'd say, "go look it up" and get, "NO, YOU look it up". And of course when I did and showed they were wrong they'd whine and call me names.

My other favorite question was "when it's winter in North America, is the Earth farthest or closest to the Sun"?

If you two had a clue, we'd turn you loose in Iraq.

Dubya needs to answer my questions

As she crosses her arms defiantly and her bulging cheeks turn blue. No he doesn't need to answer your questions, you just "despise" him don't ya know. I will admit you haven't yet called for lethal injection and I figure it will take a week or so before that happens. MAP has been over that hill for quite a while. That was a bit harsh but you really need to get over yourself.

I read Peroutka's letter. He is right.

To what letter do you refer?

"Oh good grief."

Then rein it in. I have been posting on Free Republic since November of 2000 and you are the first poster to try to "bait" me in such a creepy, ungentlemanly way. You know nothing about my personal life or what I do for a living, yet, in a totally off-base way, you insist on making it an issue on this forum. And that isn't a personal attack?

Well I do know that you have a lot of free time in that job you are taking away from some poor local. You caught my attention with your hypocrisy on this issue. I had never noticed you before. I don't like sanctimonious hypocrisy.

Here's the sum total of the political accomplishments of conservative 3rd party candidates in the last 2 decades:

0

I wish I could give some totals, but I can only give a few minimums that lax enforcement of immigration and amnesty have and will cost:

8 million illegal aliens

345 billion dollars in cost of adding the 8mil to Social Security

The daily cost on welfare, food stamps, schools, health care and other social services now? who knows?

Sept. 11, 2001-3000 lives

If you want to get along with me, and I am easy to get along with, you have to do 3 things, don't whine, don't demonize people for doing the same thing you are doing and don't hide your agenda behind the hot button issue of the day. Other than that, I can get along with anyone.

Ack! After visiting http://www.rodserling.com, I had to actually recheck my answers to your two 'liberal' busters. I feel so ashamed that I had to look up such things to verify what I thought was real was (turned out that I wasn't losing my mind on any of them.)

But I shouldn't have had any doubt about any of them, so therefore I publicly hang my head in shame.

Uh, they've paid probably as much INTO Soc Sec over the last 20 years and we have agreements with many countries that allow workers that pay into the system to get benefits. Not that I like Soc Sec...I think it's a ponzi scheme and I don't want reform, I want it's elimination.

As to welfare, you are assuming they are ALL getting these benefits. They aren't. Yes, some are. Yes, it cost money. But more actual Americans are on the system that don't deserve it...millions more than the 8 million illegals from Mexico and Latin America.

As to your last point, those were Islamic fascists, not Mexican aliens that came to the USA LEGALLY on visas...only 3 of the 19 hijackers were here illegally.

This is freerepublic not DU and facts matter here. ALL workers must pay into social security for 40 quarters, 10 years before they are eligible for benefits. Let's keep it honest.

FWIW, the greatest testimony to the greatness of Americans and the American Spirit can be seen in each one of us here tonight.

Where else in the world could we openly and publicly exercise the freedom of speech we enjoy here on FR (or anywhere else in this country)?

What we say about ourselves is one thing. But what other nations say about us should not go unrepeated either.

The leaders in Israel were saying last week that the fall of Saddam Hussein has had a greater impact on bringing peace to the Middle East than anytime in modern history, even in the last 1,000 years. And who would know this better than them what the ravages of war, racial and religious hatred, and the assault on your sovereign homeland can bring.

Was Bush responsible for this? Yes, but not only Bush.

Let me give you a glimpse into what a real hero is.

When Time Magazine came to Donald Rumsfeld with the nomination for the 2003 man of the year - he reflected it.

He knows who the real heroes of this nation are - and he said so. The American Soldier. They are the ones fig ting, dying, leaving wifes, babies, mothers, fathers, sweethearts and loved ones behind.

And for what? For what I ask each one of you.

Is it so they can die on a cold hate-filled battlefield on a sandbar half way around the world for a country who won't even protect it's own sovereignty and borders from an invasion every bit as potent to the ruin of America as 9/11/01 was?

I wonder what our boys being shot at right now in Baghdad would think if they knew the nation they are laying their lives on the line for is not worth more than a voting majority on election day.

IT'S THE SOLDIER

It's the soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the
PRESS.

It's the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of
SPEECH.

It's the soldier, not the campus
ORGANIZER,
Who has given us the freedom to
DEMONSTRATE

It's the soldier, not the lawyer,
Who has given us the right to a
FAIR TRIAL.
It's the soldier who salutes the flag,
Serves under the flag
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

-Father D. E. O'Brien

What? You doubted it was "Serling"? lol

And you doubted it was not oxygen but nitrogen? lol

And please don't tell me you doubted the Earth had to be farther away from the Sun during our winter! he he he

Told you those were good test questions! ;-)

I actually saw a complete idiot on "Who Wants To Be A Moron On TV"...I mean, "Millionaire?" who was a high school teacher miss the air question. He didn't know it himself so he "phoned a friend" that was the 8th grade science teacher in his school and, of course, "he'd know".

His colleague told him "oxygen" and he lost. I looked at my wife and said, "told you teachers today are idiots and both should be fired". But they probably got raises.
