Enough already. Rush comment was not hateful at all. There is way to much hypersensitivity over race.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
More lies in an endless parade of lies. There was nothing hateful at all in Rush's criticism of the sports media's bias.
This article is a perfect illustration of the deranged mental state of liberals, and why there is no use in trying to have a constructive dialog with them.

Blah, blah, blah.....if this had been Tavis Smiley saying the exact same thing, about a white basketball player, no one would have raised an eyebrow. Regardless of whether anyone agrees with what Rush said, it was his opinion.

More from the left wing press. Whatever happened to "let's move on?" Oh, that's right, I forgot, it doesn't apply to conservatives. They beat that old dead horse till its hamburger. But let anyone bring up the clinton's bloody road to the top ( a la Vince Foster, et al) and its "let's move on."

"When we closed on our house, that night of the closing, the neighbors got together," Sam McNabb says. "They broke into the house, vandalized it, knocked holes in the wall, urinated on the carpeting, broke windows, and spray painted on the house."I am not doubting that these things happened but to say 'the neighbors got together' is a bit over the line.
The damage he describes could have easily been done by one person and was probably done by a couple of rednecks, it doesn't take much to pee on the carpet, kick some holes in the walls, break a few windows and spray some paint...he makes it sound like a block party BBQ.

Or, all of the horrible racist commentary said about Condi Rice, by white and black entertainers alike.

Why do I sense this is a lie?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
McNabb is an overrated quarterback. It's not that he doesn't have ability; it's just that he's not consistent with it. You can never tell from one day to the next when he's going to shine, or when he's going to suck. If the media had "rated" him fairly, he wouldn't have been overrated, and people would have known him for what he is--not bad, but not $115 million.
That said, I'm rooting for him to succeed. And if I know Rush, so is he.

That said, I'm rooting for him to succeed. And if I know Rush, so is he.That's the difference betwwen the right and the left. The left hates Bush, Condi, Rush, etc., and would like to see them dead.

That is terrible. But, sports fans are very emotional, and irrational. I am close to a family whose father played in the NFL, and there were some Sundays when that family came home from the stadium practically in tears. In Brazil they literally assassinate soccer players over mistakes.

Actually, in 1980 this was entirely possible. I grew up in that area.
On the other hand according to the 2000 census: There are 25,614 people living in Dolton; 21,098 are black.

Last week, during the Eagles/Packers game, Fox Sports compared the suffering Brett Favre and Donovan McNabb this year. They actually equated the death of Brett's father and Donovan's "pain" in having to deal with Rush Limbaugh's comment.
Then, they did a cute Mad TV sketch where Rush, drooling over a bag of pain relievers at the golden EIB microphone, was jumped and punched to the floor by "McNabb."
I'll continue to watch NFL games on Fox, but their jackass commentators and pre/postgame shows can pound salt.
