Hope your day is going well. Light snow and 20s here today. Single digits tonight. Nice dusting at my house this morning so I crawled into my "shabby" warehouse office at the crack of 11:00...lol...still, a mild winter here so far.
I wish W would just recess all of em but like nopardons pointed out to me, many nominees may not accept that....I had not thought of that.

We had the snow the other day...6 more inches and bitter cold.
And yes, Pickering is the ONLY nominee, who agreed to the recess post. I wish the others would have agreed too, but I understand the why of why they refused.

Continuing with personal information..... I hear tell it was a beautiful day here in sunny Southern CA, but you wouldn't know it by me: I crawled out of bed at 2:00 this afternoon, sloth that I am. :)

"I wish W would just recess all of em but like nopardons pointed out to me, many nominees may not accept that....I had not thought of that."With the exception of Pickering, all of the nominees are relatively young, and wouldn't want to give up a lifetime appointment just yet. It's my understanding that is what would happen if they weren't confirmed by the new Congress that convenes next Jan. Pickering is close to retirement age, though. He can afford to take the risk.
Is that right, nopardons? If not, please feel free to correct me. I want to get these things straight. ;o)
We've finally thawed out, and the snow is finally gone. We spent two hellish weeks with bitterly cold temperatures, wind, ice and snow. I ventured from my house twice to go to the grocery store. It's not that I'm scared to drive. It's that I'm afraid of the other folks on the road. We don't have weather like that very often, and people here don't know how to drive in that stuff. There were so many cars wrecked, in the ditch, or both.
Two o'clock, onyx? lol I'm impressed! ;o)
