I suppose you could try making lemonade with saccharin. I've done it before, it isn't as bad as you'd think.

You mean from lemons? or from powder

Have you tried "Talking Rain" flavored, carbonated water? My husband is a diabetic and it's the only thing he CAN drink besides plain water.

I am drinking "Diet Cola" from 7 UP. It uses Splenda and it is caffeine free. I used to make my Vodka Collins with Fresca but now I use Diet Grapefruit Shasta Cola.
I wonder which will kill you sooner, smoking or obesity. I never see any real old fat people...

A good name brand of lemon juice (e.g. Realemon) with 5 parts water, and either sweet'n'low or tablet saccharin. Lime is also good. Fresh squeezed would be even better.
To: HiTech RedNeck
hehehehe... I was eating it on my aunt's homebaked BREAD too... I really backslid this Christmas holiday.

Oooh, I gained 9 lbs in 2 weeks over Christmas. We went wild here too. It was just plain EVIL, the amount of junk I crammed! LOL!
I did it "for the children". (Is that a valid defense??)

bourbon and black cherry...stuff. I am also a serious bourbon disciple. Here's what: make your self some fresh-squeezed lemonade with Splenda for a chaser/mixer.

good god I'm seeing the fruits of my wicked gluttony for home cooked food... LOL I did it for the children too... not only did I do it for the children but I did in the name of exploring cultural diversity... roti, chinese noodles, blackeyed peas,plantains...I concur with your defense and will file a 'friend of the court' brief.

I noticed a similar problem after the holidays. I don't think I gained any weight but all my clothes seem to have shrunk a bit. ;-)
To: lainie
That's wierd, aspartame was giving me headaches big-time. Finally gave up the vodka and diet sierra-mist for vodka, baja bobs, and water. No more headaches!
