Are they insane in the ADL? What are they thinking?

"Yes" and "not much," respectively. More accurately, they are left-wing blissninnies, who have been willingly brainwashed into believing that the government is only a force for good and that "it could never happen here." As anyone with any sense knows, government is all about power, and that power corrupts people. The worst crimes in human history have been committed by governments, and our own is not without its own sordid past (Indian massacres and the imprisonment of 100,000 Japanese-Americans leap one's attention, but there are many other incidents that attest to the lack of good will on the part of those who control have had power right here on our own soil). The ADL and those of like mind have forgotten the lessons of history, probably because they lack the character to handle those lessons.

Brainwashed leftist blissninnies is right. They think "it can't happen here," but when I see the rising generation of atheist nihilist face pierced and tattooed savages, I wonder how it can NOT happen here. This generation, raised on first person shooter video games, will load us onto trucks at (GI) machinegun point and feel exactly nothing.

The ADL is a classic example of an organization having forgotten why it was founded and run amok, similarly to the ACLU and any number of other leftist organizations. If they ever were focused on combating antisemitism, those days are long gone. Now, they're busily promoting every aspect of a leftist agenda known to the mind of man, and trying to dress up their presentations with nebulous, flimsy allegations of some relationship to antisemitism on the part of whoever it is they're "investigating" this week.

However, in the aftermath of what an elected Government did to the Jews of Europe, the manner in which Jews in general, and ADL in particular, attempt to ensure protection by going out of their way to snuggle up to the Government here in America can only be characterized as sheer stupidity. There just isn't any other explanation for it; moreover, as Einstein pointed out, an explanation should always be as simple as necessary, but no simpler.

The most laughable thing - if one can find humor in such travesties - is that they are so dissipated in their efforts, and have antagonized so many people of all stripes, that they are probably doing more to bring about another Holocaust than they are to prevent one. Just for example, they run off in full cry, searching frantically for antisemites under every rock (and rarely finding any) every time they see anything with the word "Militia" on it, when in fact the Militias in this country would (had ADL not so completely alienated them) in all likelihood be the first to resist a Government bent on rounding up Jews.

To top it all off, even some of their membership, while admittedly of a leftist bent in general, has no idea how ADL is squandering their money on the pet projects of the various goblins who run the organization, and even less of a clue how much damage is being done to ADL's supposed "cause".

I've heard that the Simon Wiesenthal organization and the Southern Poverty Law Center are in a similar state, although I don't know for sure - I can only stomach investigating one leftist cesspool at a time...
