"The poll was conducted among a nationwide random sample of 1022 adults, interviewed by telephone between Jan. 12 and Jan. 15."
Just in case anyone missed it.

Good. I like it when we don't think it'll be a rout. Means we'll be serious about getting out the vote.

The poll was conducted among a nationwide random sample of 1022 adults, interviewed by telephone between Jan. 12 and Jan. 15.
Well, here is the catch - they're not even counting registered voters, never mind the more accurate likely voters.

Most voters 55% - believe the President will ultimately win the 2004 election. So I guess CBS can survey actual voters if they want to.

The poll was conducted among a nationwide random sample of 1022
adults Stopped reading right there. Not even registered voters (much less LIKELY voters). This is so out of line with all other reputable polls, it doesn't pass the laugh test.
Nonetheless, ANYTHING can happen between now and November, and complacency is something to guard against and I will work hard to make sure our President gets another 4.

"In a related story, 3/4 of the 1022 individuals polled responded by saying that they'd be voting for Josiah Bartlett again this year for president."
LOL Some respondents asked why Martin Sheen isn't running this year.

As is obvious to any sentient being, this poll is a stinking pile of dog poo...timed to coincide with the kickoff of the campaign season in Iowa.
What a coincidence!

I guess Jorge Bush and Karl Rove underestimated the backlash.

Random sample of Americans who answer telephone surveys because they don't have Caller ID.

Whew! Good thing Bush won't be running against "Unknown Democrat"

This poll has no more value than an AOL internet poll.

Well, I immediately hang up on anyone who calls me and is not a relative or friend. Guess I'll never get my opinions in a poll.

significant numbers of voters want to hear about the war in Iraq, U.S. foreign policy, and health care. Twenty-six percent of registered voters say they would like to hear the presidential candidates talk about the economy and jobs, 14% say the war in Iraq and foreign policy, followed by healthcare and Medicare at 11%. Wow! That's way significant-not.
