If Congress doesn't shoot the immigration proposal down, I'll be the first one to hold Congress' feet to the fire, for not standing up for what I think it the right thing to do. Proposing a piece of legislation is one thing, cowering in the face of what's right even after all this debate, and giving it the seal of approval is what angers me. If the immigration bill becomes law, it's Congress' fault for allowing it to happen, not Bush.

If the immigration bill becomes law, it's Congress' fault for allowing it to happen, not Bush. It's Congress' fault for allowing it, but you can't let Bush off the hook it is his idea, and he is the one that is asking Congress to pass it. the Republicans in Congress has proven time and time again that they will do what Bush wants over the will of the people time and time again, regardless of how un-Constitutional it may be.

I believe that Congress will vote down the Immigration bill rather strongly.
The President has a good reason to come up with this measure. It is one of the few logical ways to handle over 8 million illegals that can't be simply rounded up and deported.
But for the most part, the problem started long before he took office, yet he is getting the brunt of the blame.
It is hard for me to understand how any thinking conservative can take such a hateful view of him in spite of all the good things he has done.
