Of the many issues competing for attention in this new and defining year, one is of a unique order of magnitude: President Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq. The facts demonstrate how dishonest that decision was. As former Treasury secretary Paul H. O'Neill recently confirmed, the debate over military action began as soon as President Bush took office. Some felt Saddam Hussein could be contained without war. A month after the inauguration, Secretary of State Colin L. Powell said: "We have kept him contained, kept him in his box." The next day, he said tellingly that Hussein "has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction."
The events of Sept. 11, 2001, gave advocates of war the opening they needed. They tried immediately to tie Hussein to al Qaeda and the terrorist attacks. Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld created an Office of Special Plans in the Pentagon to analyze the intelligence for war and bypass the traditional screening process. Vice President Cheney relied on intelligence from Iraqi exiles and put pressure on intelligence agencies to produce the desired result.

Please, W, the next time you are with this gelatinous a-hole, be courteous and continue with the new-tone, and, upon his leaving, shove him down the White House steps.

Amen. If the Bushes wish to continue with their gracious, classy behavior towards the disloyal opposition, the should at least freeze them out and stop rubbing elbows with them.
I wouldn't care to be in the same room with someone who aggressively slandered me as a liar.

Ted Kennedy, the day you left a woman to drown in your car and went home and got out of your wet clothes and wondered what to do about it while yachting the next day is the day your opinion on anything no longer matters to any decent American. How dare you criticize President Bush? What is wrong with the people of Massachusetts to continually re-elect this shameless socialist?
To: Pokey78
I'm sure Mary Jo would have a few things to say to Mr. Kennedy about honesty.
If she were alive.

Politics demands that you reward your friends and punish your enemies. It's definitely time for Bush to punish this sack of cow manure.

It will be gravity that eventually snuffs out this stink pot.
He's survived an AIRplane crash and a car plunge into the WATER.
This fat devil will only be stopped by the ground itself, even though I kinda like the lightning scenario.

Not everyone can have as stellar a background as The Lifeguard.Ronald Reagan was credited with saving 77 swimmers when he was a young lifeguard in Illinois.
Don't ever use that term to describe Kennedy!!!!

Bin Laden isn't in Iraq. Our attack on Iraq has done virtually nothing to prevent al-Qaeda from attacking us again. I suspect that before the November elections, OBL et al will remind us that he is very much alive and well.
