MODESTO -- Prosecutors prefer Scott Peterson's double-murder trial be moved to Santa Clara County if the judge "does not reconsider Sacramento," according to court documents filed Friday.
The state court administrative body produced a list of four potential trial sites this week after Judge Al Girolami ruled it necessary to move the case out of Stanislaus County, citing massive publicity.

I can tell you why .. this is "liberalville". If you want a sympathetic jury .. this is the place. I'd say it's on a par with Hollyweird. I know .. I used to live there.

I sure hope this trial goes somewhere other than San Jose.
Heck, we already had the Cary Stayner and the Richard Allen Davis cases the last few years. What'd they get 8-?

How long ago were you in the area? I been here over 20 years.
I'd wouldn't bet the farm myself on Scott walking if the case is tried here, tho. I sure as the heck hope not anyway.

stayner and davis got death penalty. Yep, will do... answer ya in freepmail...
oh, by the way, seems trying to install any software, the cd rd/rw or dvd hangs, and won'install. Tried many different things. cables, checking connections, uninstalled drivers, programs, re-installed them, etc... won't load NAV, or Peachtree, etc... But sure re installed DVD 400i HP writer. Can't seem to figure why, but maybe the TCP numbers to the linksys router could of caused some weird stuff... still trouble shooting, but very frustrating....Near the point to do a sys recovery!

I left the Bay Area several years ago .. but I actually grew up there. It used to be a great place to live.
I really hope there is enough evidence to convict Scott as I really do believe he killed his wife.

Though Peterson's attorney, Mark Geragos, has said he planned to file venue preferences, he had not done so by the end of business Friday.Markie was busy Friday; his latest client was making a complete ASS out of himself AND his attorneys.
