just talked to rank and file agents in the San Diego Sector who said illegal entries SOARED on the day Bush announced the proposal.

LOL. You use that poll just like you are trying to use this poll. Hoping others are as ignorant as you and will equate the two for massive loss of support of Bush over a single issue. That poll was the FR views of a single issue. NOT a damned referendum on George Bush. You are on freerepublic and you are in over your head trying to pull that bait and switch. You are nowhere near good enough to pull it off.

Might I add that the poll was up AT THE SAME MOMENT BUSH gave his speech. The hysteria on this place was intoxicating -- even I voted NO and I support Bush's right to speak and suggest proposals to Congress. :)

This is more than just a "single issue" we're talking about. Bush's horrible illegal immigration plan is pure madness and pandering -- pure and simple. This is a national security issue, not a side issue.

I work overseas right now, and I am witnessing racist, unfriendly nations located well beyond Central and South America who gleefully anticipate the day we become a destabilized, marginalized US of Brazil-style with a cast of characters ranging from corrupt oligarchs to Leftist zealots.

My ancestors fought in the American Revolution and it has been handed down through my family -- generation after generation -- the values they fought for. I don't get any pleasure from opposing Bush and his advisers. It pains me to see the Republican leadership behave no differently from the Democrats.

Then 67% of us on here are ignorant. Maybe some of that remaining 11% are as stupid as we are.

Ignorant is someone who uses spin and insults and thinks they can win on that basis.
