And I'll rant a bit more. One contributing factor to all this "he abandoned us" nonsense is conservative talk radio. I'm conservative and I love it. But they take conservatism to the level of a religion. Certain sacred cows are a bunch of simplistic red meat, such as about illegal aliens. Who can't agree every time they shout "they're ILLEGAL?" BUT who is going to do something constructive about it? Bush is trying to.

Their message is -- If the president did not do what YOU wanted him to do 100% of the time over the last 4 years then write in "Nintendo in 2004"!

No, what Bush is trying to do is gloss over it. He isn't solving anything as far as the American public is concerned. He not only just increased their taxload to subsidize that cheap labor, but he's subjected us to higher crime, more dumbing down in schools, more invasion of our neighborhoods. And for what? So his business buddies don't have to pay American workers?

AMEN...sign it to the heavens!

And when the talk show hosts backslide, as they must do ( well Rush does and Sean Hannity always ends a red meat rant by saying that he still SUPPORTS Bush and so should everyone else ! ) the UNAPPEASABLES go berserk here. LOL
