One of our sons had some pet rats for a while, and although we were dubious at first they were really very friendly and gentle. They used to run up and down his arms and sit on his head.

His girlfriend, on the other hand, had a couple of ferrets that she kept in our house for a while, and I couldn't see that they had any redeeming social value.

Apparently you have to spend time training them if you want to create a friendly little pet, I think I will stick to Cats and Dogs.

Ferrets are against the law in California, yet just like every other illegal alien, you can walk into any pet store and find products made for ferrets. I'm of a mind to deport the ferrets when we deport the other illegal aliens, though I suppose there's some people in the world who find them enjoyable.

My pet rat died 3 days ago. He was 3 years old. A sweet and gentle soul who wouldn't leave his cage even if the door was left open.

Ferrets, on the other hand, I hate them. My roommate, years ago had them and they would hide around the apartment and sneak out and bite my toes.
