A typical snap-shot of the downward spiral of moral values of American youth. I do think the media and their mass marketing influence adolescents, but the big question is:"Where are the parents?" You can't JUST blame Viacom, AOL, MTV etc etc., although they have a big impact. What does the typical parent think of one of these "ghetto-ized" children of theirs?

The "buzz marketing" the article mentions is to the youth culture as "paid bashers" are to the financial community.

um... if you read the article, Mr. Kupelian does talk about parenting.

The reason why I liked this article so much is because it's comprehensive, discussing all aspects, not just commercialism.

Exactly ... if parents gave kids the LOVE, TIME and Judeo Christian values needed, it would be the corporations failing; not parents failing their kids. But hey, the almighty dollar rules MOST of them to the detriment of raising their kids the right way.
