Imagine what would've happened if the special prosecutors had listened to her pleas for privacy. There would have been no impeachment of Bill Clinton... Correct me if I'm wrong, but the special prosecutor never did get a copy of Monica's or Clinton's medical records.

I'm not clear on the concept. Do we or don't we forgive drug-abusers who go into rehab? Every time I see a Hollywood star (Robert Downy) or a sports figure (Brett Favre) go to rehab, it seems like the courts and the court of public opinion is on their side. And often the judges mandate rehab in lieu of jailtime. So why are we going after a guy who admitted the problem to more people at once then anyone else in history ... then entered the program for five weeks and now is apparently having good success with his continual rehab? How is society benefitted by investigating this case when the cards are already on the table?
By the way, I have listened for many years and I have never heard him call for strict jail sentences in these cases. Looking back on it, it was more of a case he didn't discuss the subject much at all ... just as you might expect.

seminar callers are out in force in talk radio land. It is not just on Rush, ALL radio has been plagued by their insipid formula (I agree but....)

A feeble attempt to make fun of Rush and his loyal listeners.
I found this fools official website (

I don't know who this moron is (Hiaasen) but I know exactly who Rush is; I listen to Rush (whenever I can) and Rush is the man who kept me and many millions sane during the long dark years of Clinton in the WH.

I'm thinking Gopher County should come up with a better name and this President-elect of Rush Fan Club should resign before he utters or writes another word. Frankly, I don't think Rush gives a damn what President-Elects from Gopher County think.
He is being persecuted because of who he is. Maybe Rush should say he is an illegal alien and then he would have all kinds of free medical and legal aid and most of all compassion because our own President told us that all illegal aliens are honorable and possess such good family values, even if they broke the law. And, Rush has one up on that, we don't even know if he did break any laws, and I don't think he did. Seems to me if anyone did it is the DA, and the drug dealing ex-maid.
I'm just sort of tune out on Rush whenever he wants to talk about his "whacky stacky" stuff. Doesn't he realize we can get that from our local news and Peter Jenning and Dan and Tom??
Where the heck is Gopher County anyway?

Actually there's more truth in that essay than we want to admit.
