Maybe so, but this means a lot top me and goes a long way to smoothing my ruffled feathers

To coin a phrase, "ditto"

Finally, he throws a judicial punch. Maybe the timing is good though - gettin' ready for a SCOTUS nominee fight (which will make WCW look like a bunch of old homo's having afternoon tea).

Well I'll be durned!! ABOUT TIME! Thank you President Bush, a more conservative judiciary is an absoluite necessity and this first step means a lot to me.

More conservative until his appointment is up in a year at least. Then won't it be back to square one?

After staying as reserved as he was and not using veto's and not doing recess appointments for judges, this should be considered a "shot accross the bow" as well.

I still think a GWB petition for a writ of mandamus to the U.S. supreme Court is the proper way to deal with the senate's refusal to vote on nominees.

Has anyone suggested this to the White House? It would be a sure winner in the USSC.

Yes it usually does to those who benefit from the pandering.

I would suggest that you would feel a lot better if you worked hard to bring a conservative senator to the Congress who would stand up against the arcane, political elitism that lead to this equally asinine move.
