I'm sorry you denote anyone attempting to take a deeper look at Bush's action as being tantamont to a personal attack against the man. Furthermore its wrong of YOU to impunge the motives of others when they ask such legitimate questions. If a poster says Bush is evil and he only did this to win points with Satan, then you have a good point. But getting upset when someone takes a look at his "strategery" is being too sensitive.

I took exception to your argument, it was a transparent one. When you suggested the president played politics with this appointment you not only impungned the integrity of the president but of Judge Pickering as well. Yes, President Bush is a master politican and a superb poker player but any political ground gained from this nominatioin happened 2 years ago when he nominated Judge Pickering then steadfastly stood by his nominee. When Judge Pickering did not ask President Bush to withdraw his name from the process I knew they were both willing to go the distance. A recess appointment was the handwrting on the wall of the senate chamber after that all nighter a few months back and most of us knew that. They have now gone the distance and it is a good day for the country.
