Why do you do that? You never jump in unless there's an basic act of God like a hurricane!Oh, I wanted to... but alas, work prohibited me from jumping in on MJ. Then, the act of God was that things quieted down for the Pickering recess appointment... God IS good!

Does anyone know - will Jusge Pickering draw a salary? Can't get the source now, but I believe recess appointees do not get paid. I believe that since Pickering's nomination is "pending" in the Senate, he can draw a salary.

One DUmmy is patiently trying to remind the others that Clinton used the same tactic. They are in such hysterics that no one is paying attention.

According to Fox News, Pickering will get a pay raise. Also, I believe Estrada is holding out for the SC. Just my $0.02.

Fox news said it wasn't without precedent - that clinton had done it too. Can anyone link to a specific article on clinton doing this?

I rarely watch her either. She's a tad annoying and you can only sit through Laci Peterson and other mysteries just so long. Time to turn on Law and Order and really see some blood. (grin)

The Democrats ACCUSED him of being a racist, but it's a lie. Yeah, what did I say? "Appointing someone accused of being racist".
Hopefully they took MLK Day into account, 'cause the protests in Atlanta are certainly going to pick this up.
It will reopen the discussion about how much not a racist he is when they start interviewing his supporters. It will show the facts not the fiction spewed by the Dems.
You have much faith in the media.

***They usually sound the gong for just about anything.***
Not to mention over and OVER and OVER again! They should have a rule that it's a "News Alert" only once. After all, by definition, "Breaking News" can only be "breaking" once, right???
